The options are overwhelming. If you want to choose a ChMS, website platform, or mobile app, there are so many options that all claim to be the best option for your church.

The pressure is overwhelming. It feels like if your church isn’t on the latest and trendiest platform, then you’re missing opportunities to grow your church and add to the Kingdom. 

The learning curve is overwhelming. Let’s be honest, most pastors aren’t trained in marketing and communications. Who has the time to learn all this stuff?

An assessment simplifies complexity and focuses on what's essential. It doesn't aim to make your church conform to others, but rather provides clear guidance on your path forward. This guidance is based on your unique identity and mission, not on imitating other churches.

During our time, we’ll look at the following four areas.

How do you reach new people? What process do they go through once they? Who follows through on this process? Your communications strategy connects the dots between every part of your marcom ministry.

The most important part of your communications ministry is your team. Without a passionate, focused, and gifted team, none of the other areas will be effective. So we’ll take some time to look at independently, but also in connection with the three other key areas: Branding & Content, Platform Quality & Use, and Marketing Strategy.

Next we look at the designs and copywriting that make up your church brand. Your branding doesn’t need to be flashy, but it does need to be consistent & effective.

Your platforms are the systems you use everyday for marketing and communications (eg: website, ChMS, email) We’ll help you decide if your current systems are working or if they need an upgrade.

What can I expect from an assessment?

Hey there, my name is Josh and as owner and lead strategist at Clearpath, I personally administer all of our Small Church Communications Assessments. So what can you expect from our time?

Expect a no-pressure, friendly conversation.

I absolutely LOVE meeting new pastors and ministry staff. So I really want to get to know YOU and your vision for your church. My goal isn’t to push you into anything, but to provide helpful insight.

Expect a comprehensive assessment of your comms.

We’re going to unpack all four areas of church communications (strategy, teams/management, branding/creative, and systems/platforms). My goal is to be direct about your strengths and weakness, while being respectful to your church culture and some of the challenges you face.

Expect to gain insight into your comms with clear next steps.

The ultimate goal of an assessment is similar to getting a physical check-up; to discover what might be wrong so you can get better. Our assessment will identify your problem areas and provide options to make practical and culturally relevant improvements.

Yup, just $97. Why so cheap? Isn’t consulting supposed to be expensive?

Usually yes. But I’ve done this assessment so many times and have boiled it down to it’s most essential components. We’re able to walk through everything in 1-hour and email your completed assessment to you the same day. Included in your assessment will be a description of any relevant Clearpath services you may want to develop when you’re ready.

That’s it! So just choose a day + time that works for you below, pay for your assessment, and You’ll automatically receive zoom meeting info via email and link to complete a short questionnaire. You’ll receive a reminder email the day before. Can’t wait to meet you!

FAQs

  • Assessments take only 1-hour and are scheduled at a day/time that works best for you.

  • Our assessment is a one page document that covered each area of church communications. You can download a sample assessment here.

  • As many leaders from your church as you like. At the very least, we recommend including people who are directly involved in church communications, but it can be helpful to have church elders and administers involved as well.

  • We only charge $97 for the assessment. We keep the cost low because it’s important to us to provide clarity on both ends going into a strategic partnership.

  • Yes! In fact, many of our strategic partnership include our team building out and designing various aspects of your communications. But this is optional and can be discussed at the end of our meeting or at another time of your choosing.
