How to build a
Plan Your Visit Page
on Squarespace
STEP 1:
Collect and create content
Before you begin creating your page designs, take some time to collect and/or create the various types of content for your page. This usually includes copywriting, photography, and perhaps a call (or calls) to action. Go ahead and watch the short tutorial in this section and then start working with the worksheet but clicking on “copy worksheet” below. This worksheet will help you collect and organize your content before you build.
STEP 2:
Build a page & add content
Now that you’ve created your content, it’s time to start building your page. In this tutorial, I walk you through the process of building a new page from scratch, creating a header, alternating content sections, and adding your content from the worksheet to the sections. We’ll focus our process on using Fluid Engine (updated builder) but we’ll also go over the simpler way of using the classic editor.
STEP 3:
Add an FAQ section
After you’ve creating and populated your alternating sections, it would be very helpful to your visitor to create a FAQ section. To do this, you’ll want to use the accordion block, which allows you to create many visible questions while keeping the answers to these questions hidden until people click on them.
STEP 4:
Add a call to action and launch
Finally, finish up your page with a clear call to action. This will help people know what to do after they attend a worship service. If everything looks good, you can launch your page by linking it to your CTA button on the top right hand side of your navigation, or anywhere else you want people to see it.
